Case Study

Making the essence of LAS digitally tangible and accessible

At the beginning, our focus was on taking over and maintaining the existing website. Step by step, we worked together with LAS to further develop individual sections and continuously expand the site. The goal was to make LAS’s mission, work, and impact even more accessible to users—and to communicate complex topics such as “What is LAS Online compared to the on-site events?” more clearly.

Another key focus was accessibility: how can the inclusive approach that LAS already lives out in its physical events be consistently translated into the digital space?

Clear focus on user experience and accessibility in design

Building on the existing corporate design, we further developed the website both visually and structurally. The focus was on creating a clear user experience, improving accessibility, and strengthening the overall information architecture.

Discover & Visit pages: Diverse content, clear user guidance

The "Discover" section was designed as a versatile content area that brings together different formats and subpages—enhanced by a refreshed color scheme that provides orientation and visual variety.

The “Visit” pages were also comprehensively redesigned: optimized user flows make it easier to book tickets, while new audience-specific pages and well-structured overview and detail pages create an intuitive user experience.

The non-profit organization LAS Art Foundation is a Berlin-based art institution working at the intersection of art, science, and technology. Together with artists, researchers, and institutions, it develops interdisciplinary installations, performances, and formats that shed new light on future-oriented topics such as AI, quantum computing, biotechnology, and ecology.

Technology that adapts – with maximum maintainability

The website is built on a Next.js application with Sanity CMS in the background—modular, high-performing, and future-proof.
We relied on open-source technologies to ensure maximum flexibility and sustainability in ongoing development.
